ABOUT 150 employees of the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) have come forward to kick off a programme intended to promote outdoor exercise by creating a bicycle route for regular cycling activities.
Programme coordinator Azizah Kosni said the council was encouraging its 1,500 employees to join the programme.
“At the moment, 150 have already signed up. All the employees have been informed of the programme.
“We also want the councillors to be part of the programme. We are also in the midst of creating a cycling club,” she said.
Azizah added that the club would be launched in June during the Petaling Jaya City Day celebrations.
“Our aim in the future is to open the activities to Petaling Jaya residents as a whole,” she said.
