JOURNALISTS covering the Selangor state assembly were surprised when they were given CDs containing the questions of the session instead of the big bulk of papers.
This is believed to be in line with the state government’s go-green effort to preserve the environment.
Reporters covering the event were informed that they will not be given the hardcopy material anymore.
However, the move received mixed reaction from the media as some felt that the question papers helped to make their job easier as they were able to jot down answers easily.
They felt that it was convenient for them to view the questions through their laptops all the time.
A state public relations unit staff said they felt that the CD- way was efficient as almost all the journalists covering the state assembly had laptops.
“We are going paperless with the soft copy version of the questions,” she said.
